PEGASO scientific and technical approach is modelled around two guiding principles: i), combining Agility and structure and ii), adapting UCD (User-Centred Design) to Agility.

  1. Agility and structure. PEGASO is driven by a combination of Agile Development methods and techniques with the structure necessary to a large and distributed collaboration effort.

  2. Agility and UCD. PEGASO methodology also incorporates the overarching principle of having users as active, participating actors in the project in the tradition of UCD-User Centred Design.

The structure of the project has been designed to satisfy the above principles with technical work-packages working in close cooperation, guided by a set of user-based requirements that are implemented in an incremental manner and verified with the users in a continuous cycle.

From the technical standpoint PEGASO work has been organised according to the workflow described below:

  • User Modelling, Iterative Service Design and User Requirements: WP2 and WP3;

  • Development of SW/HW components and modules: WP5, WP6 WP7 and WP8:

    • advanced sensor system (WP5)

    • reasoning and interpretation system (WP6)

    • user interface and guidance and education services based on games (WP7)

    • interface towards the public health system (WP8)

  • Integration of PEGASO System: WP4

  • Piloting and Evaluation: WP9

  • WP10 will analyse the business ecosystem.

  • WP11 will define the dissemination strategies towards the PEGASO stakeholders.
